Bridge Project Overview

The Bridge Project is an educational initiative which identifies and nurtures young children who might not otherwise have the opportunity to engage in classical music. Targeting socio-economically challenged inner-city boroughs, the Project encourages children, their families and their communities to develop a life-long appreciation for classical music in all its varied forms. In particular, this project aims to help increase the ethnic and socio-economic diversity within professional music ensembles by reaching out to broader communities from a young age and preparing them to participate and succeed in the classical world.

"The Bridge Project is providing ongoing creative opportunities that would otherwise simply be out of reach.
These children are among the next generation of performers and music lovers and the LPO is pleased and proud to be a part of the project."
