From street busking to concert hall showcases performing is a huge part of what we do. The confidence and discipline required for performance is something we work hard to cultivate. LMM Learning students have recently performed at Royal Festival Hall (London), Sir Adrian Boult Hall (Birmingham), Lambeth County Show and Music for Youth National Festival. They have also toured to cities around the country including Liverpool, Oxford and Bournemouth.
Click here for a short documentary about a piece commissioned for LMM Learning students, the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Iranian classical musicians. The piece was created by composer David Bruce and is a masterful setting of an ancient tale.
Creativity Agenda is a strand of workshops and events linked to the weekly instrumental and musicianship lessons the students participate in. From jazz improvisation to composition projects with leading young composers, Creativity Agenda stretches the musical imaginations of LMM Learning students as they explore their creativity guided by some of London's leading practitioners.
We regularly commission new music to be performed in venues ranging from the local school hall to the Royal Festival Hall. As well as enriching the learning experience for our students we are providing opportunities for artists and institutions to reach beyond their traditional audience and engage with new communities ready to be switched on to classical music.
