Jessie is an animateur and musician who has been working with LMM to develop its community outreach programme since 2008. She graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in 2008 and performs regularly both as a vocal and instrumental accompanist. As a former apprentice animateur with Spitalfields Music, Jessie is fast developing her career as a workshop leader, working regularly in schools throughout London and in diverse communities across the UK. She works as an early years music specialist in two schools in Notting Hill.
Jessie is a passionate vocal leader, conducting the Clapham Community Choir and working regularly with the ladies pop choir Lips in Angel. She is also one of a team of musicians who work with refugee choir Woven Gold at the Helen Bamber Foundation.
Passionate about bringing quality classical music into the local community, Jessie co-founded and directs Clapham Chamber Concerts, a concert series providing a performance platform for young professional musicians as well as instrumental workshops for young children. In developing and diversifying her own experiences as a musician, Jessie has recently formed a trio exploring free improvisation and song-writing.
