Just hours after performing on stage at the Festival Hall ten children from Ashmole Primary were off showcasing their skills once more, this time at the Evelina Children’s Hospital.
This was the official launch of Bridge to the Community, which aims to share the great work of the Bridge Project with the wider community as well as giving the young violinists some exciting performance opportunities.
The children performed a selection of their favourite pieces including Twinkle Twinkle, Song of the Wind and Perpetual Motion before being joined by LMM Award winner Agata Szymczewska, fresh from her debut with the LPO the night before, in the grand finale performance of E String Concerto.
It was great fun to perform to the enthusiastic audience of children, parents and staff from the hospital and for the young violinists to have the opportunity to perform with Agata.
Look out for more Bridge to the Community events to see where we visit next….!
