bbc proms |  6 August

Featuring BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist Benjamin Grosvenor, DJ Switch and music from Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet, this Saturday’s prom is set to be one of the most exciting in this year’s series. DJ Switch joins the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain to perform Gabriel Prokofiev’s Concerto for Turntables and Orchestra, while Benjamin Grosvenor takes on Britten's Piano Concerto. After the interval, Prokofiev's ballet music recounts the doomed love of Verona's most romantic couple.
Also check out the family friendly proms plus event before the concert to see The Aurora Orchestra, conducted by Nicholas Collon performing the winning entries from this year's Proms Inspire Young Composers' Competition.

PROM 30: Saturday 6 August 6.30pm – c.9.00pm. Tickets from £7.50. Prom on the day for £5.00
Proms Plus event: 4.30 – 5.30pm. FREE ENTRY (limited seating).
