I know it's not quite time for the Olympics, but we have been limbering up for the start of the new academic year! Prior to the start of term we held training sessions for our instrumental teachers and delivered ‘In Service Training’ for the staff at our three BP schools.

Our newest partnership with Churchill Gardens Primary School began last week and we are very excited to be working with them in this venture! One of the interesting elements of our new partnership is the inclusion of a small contingent of children with speech and language needs. These children, who take regular classes with their peers as well as having additional support with language, will be integrated into the Bridge Project from the outset. We will be monitoring their progress closely to try and assess whether the exposure to musical learning impacts other areas of their development.

Bridge Project is currently working with nearly 400 children across in Lambeth and Westminster! This is as big as we have ever been and we have some great events lined up this term to make sure the glorious sounds our children are producing are heard across the city. Christmas will be particularly fun (click here for more info) and we will keep you posted as to other events, hope to see you at some of them soon!
