blog » taster sessions....trumpets, clarinets, flutes, cellos!
This week phase 2 of Bridge Project kicked off with a vengeance! Nearly a third of the year 3 children at both schools have elected to try new instruments for a year. They will be given the same high quality, fun-filled tuition as our young violinists and, starting this summer, will be adding to the orchestral sound towards which we are slowly (but surely!) building.
The pictures below show some of the highlights of the taster sessions. It was great to see the excitement on the children's faces as they listened to the new instruments at close quarters, and their confidence and bravura as they "had-a-go" themselves! What great fun, now down to some serious scheduling....
Many thanks to cellist Heidi, flautist Uri, trumpeters Seb and Robin and clarinettists Rachel and Rebecca for being so inspiring, and to Lambeth Music Services for generously lending us the pint sized instruments.
