Jubilee Primary take the Southbank Centre by Storm

It was a big day on Sunday 25th February for our Year 2 violinists from Jubilee Primary School, as they performed outside of school for the first time ever!

The children joined the London Philharmonic Orchestra for their Hip Hip Hooray! Family Day as they celebrated the 30th birthday of their Education and Community Programme.

The big day saw the entire of the world-renowned Southbank Centre taken over by brilliant music, and it was down to London Music Masters to kick off the continuing festivities after the brilliant FUNharmonics concert that morning.

Having rehearsed at school and at home, the children were well-prepared to take to the Clore Ballroom stage, with an exciting set list including family favourites such as the Twinkle Variations and Pineapples Are Juicy.

They had a huge crowd of family supporters as well as new audiences to London Music Masters, who were all impressed at how confidently the children played their music. The atmosphere was electric and it showed through the big smiles both on and off stage, as the children enjoyed their successful musical performance.

Musical memories like these are incredibly valuable for young musicians, so that they can feel proud of their achievements and share their musical success with friends and family. And where better to start their performance journey, than one of London's biggest and best music venues?

We're sure it won't be the last performance for our young violinists, and we look forward to helping them explore new and exciting ways to share their music in the future.
