Every three years LIVM awards will be given to violinists between the ages of 18 and 28 who demonstrate potential worthy of an international career. The masters’ awards recognise extraordinary musicianship with generous financial and career support.

LIVM seeks to identify players who:
  • Have the potential to become an artist possessing both depth of understanding and musical insight;
  • Have the potential to develop great breadth of musicianship;
  • Possess a talent for communication coupled with an ability to convey a musical soul to colleagues and audience alike;
  • Desire a career as a major international soloist;
  • Show a willingness to become a musical ambassador, representing the best that music can offer to our society;
  • Have a developing career that will be enhanced by the award.
